American illustrator (1857-1926)

Biography:


Louis Rhead was born in Etrurie in 1857. Coming from and English family, he lived in Paris and later emigrated to United States. His paintings, watercolours and posters were really successful. Together with his two brothers, he illustrated many books for young readers.
