Biography:


Monika Laimgruber was born in 1946 in Klagenfurt. She studied graphism and typography in Fine Arts School of Hambourg. Set designer, painter and illustrator, her first illustrated books was Hans Christian Andersen's tales. She moved to Salzburg, where she mainly illustrates fantastic stories, tales and fables. She has been awarded several times as illustrator and her books are published in a dozen countries.
