GORDON BROWNE



English illustrator (1858-1932)

Biography:


Gordon Browne was born in Banstead, Surrey, in 1858. Son of the illustrator Hablot Knight Browne, called Phiz, he was considered to be a better illustrator than his father, although he lacked his strenght. He illustrated general books and after his studies at Heartherley's, he specialized in books for young readers.
