Biography:


Charles Edmund Brock was born in Cambridge in 1870. He studied at Henry Wiles' workshop and at the age of 20 he began illustrating books. His style recalls Hugh Thompson's influence. He illustrated almost all English classics in black at white, and later in 1898 he began colouring his illustrations.
