Polish illustrator (1836-1893)

Biography:


Elviro Michael Andriolli was born in Wilna in 1836. He studied in Moscou and in Academia San Luca of Rome. He travelled around Europe but lived in Varsovy, where he worked as artistic manager for the weekly magazine Tygodnok Illustroisany. From 1883 on he worked in Paris for Firmin-Didot editors and never went back to Poland until his death in 1893.
