SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!!!!!
The book written in 1936 by Travers varies greatly from the successful film, with chapters such as "Miss Lark's Andrew" and "The Dancing Cow". Moreover, in the book we have two other younger brothers, the twins John and Barbara banks, who do not feature at all in Disney's version of Mary Poppins. And Jane and Michael do not actually write their own advertisement for a nanny, whereas in the film Mr. Banks disregards his children's advertisement, rips up their hard work and throws it to the fire. The pieces float up into the chimney to reach the "practically perfect in every way" Mary Poppins, who with a "spoonful of sugar" makes life much more fun!!.
At the end of the film, she flies back where she belongs, with her unmistakable umbrella and her incredible handbag.
In 1967, Disney's film won Academy Awards for Best Actress (Julie Andrews), Best Song (Chim-Chim-Cher-ee), Best Music Score, Best Film Editing and Best Special Visual Effects.
