Mark Twain takes again the successful characters of Tom and Huck in the novels Tom Sawyer Abroad and Tom Sawyer Detective, published in 1878 and 1894.
Mark Twain wrote for a vast audience of readers and wished to recall them what they were. With this book, he was ranged among realist epic writers and he later strengthened this position by publishin The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, using the same characters.
