American author (1910-1952)
Biography:
Margaret Wise Brown was born in Greenpoint Brookling, New York, in 1910. She was sent to study in Switzerland. From her very early years she began writing short stories. She got many books published, but her most famous stories were Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny. She also wrote poems, musical works, stories and works that appear in larger collections and many adult poems. She died in Nice, France from an embolism following a minor operation.
