CHESTER GOULD
American author and illustrator (1900-1985)
Biography:
Born in Oklahoma, Gould begins drawing during the 20s and later he joins Chicago American, where he illustrates the series Radio Lane and Fillum Fables. After several collaborations, Gould creates the detective series of Dick Tracy in 1931, which he drew until 1977 because he left it to his loyal assistant Dick Fletcher. The scenario was entrusted to Max Collins.
