LEON GARFIELD

English author (1921-1996)

Biography:

Léon Garfield was born in Brighton. His books are considered to keep Dicken's style and tradition. Jack Holborn, Garfield’s first novel, was a tale of pirates and adventure on the high seas and generated comparisons with R.L. Stevenson, although Garfield is such a mature and well-known writer that any general comparison would be too simple. He was been awarded several times and some of his works have been adapted into films or TV series.
