Biography:
Judy Blume was born in Elisabeth, New Jersei, in 1938. She attended Boston University and New York University, but her writing carreer started when she took a graduate class on "Writing for Children and Teenagers". Her first two short-stories to be published were The Flying Munchkins and The Ooh-ooh-aah Bird. Iggie's House was bought by Trailblazer magazine and published in serial form. Finally, in 1969, she had her first novel fully published by Reilly & Lee editors: The one in the middle is the Green Kangaroo. This began Judy’s career as a published author.
She has become one of the most fashionable writer of children's books today and, for the moment, she has sold more than 170.000 copies of all her works. She has been translated to 20 different languages and has been quite successful in all the wolrd. Judy Blume has received many awards and important recognitions for her wonderful stories, being Are you here God? It's me Margarett (1970), Superfudge (1980) and Fudge-A-Mania (1990) her most celebrated novels.
